God Made the Clouds

Ahead of Time:

·         Make a real looking cloud

o   Need balloons, newspaper, flour/water, pillow filling

Snack- Snowball Cookies

Read Genesis 1:6-8

Follow the links to learn about the different clouds.

Activities:

·         Go outside and name the cloud/clouds you see.

·         Take silly pictures with the fake cloud you made before hand.

o   This would be really fun to do outside.

·         Be sure to hang the cloud as decoration in the room.

·         Weather: Fill the cup with water. Put shaving cream on top for a cloud. Explain that when clouds get really heavy with water, it rains! Then put blue food coloring on top of the cloud, and watch it rain. (Test this out before hand)

Craft:

·         Construction Paper/Cotton Balls

o   Create a picture of the sky, including the clouds!

o   Have kids recreate the different kinds of clouds on the construction paper.

Memory Verse:

            Genesis 1:8- God called the space “sky.” And evening passed and morning came, marking the second day.

Memory Verse Games

·         Act it out!

o   Create silly actions with the kids’ help.

·         Hide each word around the room. Have kids find them and help put the verse together.
